President
The President shall be responsible for preparing the agenda and for coordinating the monthly meetings of the WCL. The President shall chair all WCL meetings and serve as an ex-officio member of all committees. The President shall approve all written correspondence and communication by the WCL before public distribution. The President shall act as the official representative and spokesperson for the WCL unless the President or the BOA delegates these responsibilities to another person. The President shall co-sign all bank checks made out by the Treasurer as necessary.
Vice President
The Vice President shall assist the president at meetings, and shall preside in the absence of the president. The vice president shall also assist the president in the execution of presidential responsibilities and act on behalf of the president during the president's absence or inability to attend to duties. In the event of resignation or permanent absence of the president, the Vice President shall assume all the duties of president until a successor is elected.
Secretary
The Secretary shall record the minutes of all WCL and BOA meetings; submit them to the respective bodies for approval; maintain the minutes of the League in good order transferring them to the secretary's successor upon election. The secretary shall notify the BOA of the time and place of their meetings. The secretary shall further attend to all official correspondence and communications of the WCL and read all correspondence at regular meetings.
Treasurer
The treasurer shall have custody of all funds of the WCL and deposit same in the name of the WCL in such FCIC bank(s) as the BOA may choose. The treasurer shall prepare and present an accounting of all receipts and disbursements in monthly reports to the BOA and to the WCL, and shall deliver an annual report each February. The treasurer shall also be responsible for maintaining and reporting as required all local, state and federal reports.
Sergeant At Arms
The sergeant at arms shall assist the president at meetings to ensure Roberts Rules of Order are followed the meetings are conducted according to the current By-Laws. The Sergeant At Arms shall serve as the timekeeper during the Candidate Forum when held.
All officers shall be elected to serve a one-year term, but may be re-elected. No officer shall serve more than two consecutive terms in one office. Officers shall be nominated in February and elected and installed in March of each year.
